How Can ABHW’s IOP Help Me?

Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, or trauma?

At Awatukee Behavioral Health & Wellness, we provide an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that includes evidence-based treatment strategies to meet the individual needs of our patients.

Intensive outpatient programs are designed to address your addictions, anxiety, depression, or other issues which do not require detox or extensive supervision. This allows you to maintain your day-to-day life in a way that you would not be able to at a residential or inpatient treatment program, while also giving you access to the professional treatment you need now.

ABHW’s IOP is focused on group therapy, but includes being seen weekly for individual and family systems sessions.

Our specialized program provides intensive treatment for:

What to Expect From ABHW’s Intensive Outpatient Program

ABHW’s IOP requires patient participation in treatment for 9-19 hours per week and offers programs with flexible scheduling.

ABHW has master’s level therapists licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health. They provide a biopsychosocial assessment and utilize psychological diagnostic tools to identify mental health and substance abuse issues. After you complete an assessment, the clinicians create a treatment plan that uses evidence-based treatment strategies to meet each patient’s individual needs.

ABHW provides an Intensive Outpatient Program that uses dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), an integration of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness skills that help identify the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and their impact on all of life’s situations.

Intensive outpatient programs have a better success rate than normal outpatient approaches, thanks to the focused, therapeutic environment.  Our IOP program balances the validation of an individual’s experience with developing skills to manage crises, regulate emotions, and enhance motivation to change.

How to Know if IOP is Right for You

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to help those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or addictions with an integrative treatment approach.

IOP is a good treatment option for those who require a higher level of care than traditional weekly outpatient therapy, and would benefit from multiple types of therapy each week.

Those in our integrative IOP program can learn about the triggers of their anxiety, depression, or addictions and healthy options for coping with and managing those triggers.

Patients receive group therapy, 1:1, and family sessions to help build stronger support relationships.
